Message: Hi I'm Ross with the East Texas Triathletes. On September 12, 2009 we will be hosting a Triathlon at the lake tyler marina. A triathlon is a multi-sport endurance event consisting of swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion time, including timed "transitions" between the individual swim, bike, and run components. Currently we are looking for a volunteer to carry an official on the course to look for rule violations on the bike course. This is because USAT does not allow drafting, so racers do not cluster together. If anyone can volunteer please contact me at (903) 279-9170
